I set up an ssh server on an old pc i had lying around so I could play old zcode interactive fiction games remotely.
I downloaded the command line frotz program, but I can't make it work with my iphone's ssh terminal app.
it works perfectly when I ssh in on teraterm from a pc, but I can't get it to work on my phone.
It says error: terminal = vanilla.
I exported the terminal as vt100, the same as terraterm, but still no luck.
Any ideas? I think this is a really cool idea, and I'd love to be able to terminal in and play all my favorite old if games via iphone.
The iphone's frotz client is lame, as you can't import your own games.
How cool would it be to be able to play all those games anywhere via 3g? Long car rides would be infinantly more awesome.
I've tried to find other ssh terminals other than the one i'm using now, but many of them aren't accessible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
before running ssh, try:
$ export TERM=vt102
$, meaning enter via command line
It's worth a shot, even if it doesn't result in anything.

thanks.
got it.
I got another terminal app (prompt if anyone's interested). It emulates vt series and xterm.
Thanks
